I Met The Walrus
If you like Peace, John Lennon, and animation... and have never seen this video, then you must take 5 minutes out of your life to watch it now. In honor of John Lennon's birthday, and legacy:
The story: "In 1969, a 14-year-old Beatle fanatic named Jerry Levitan, armed with a reel-to-reel tape deck, snuck into John Lennon's hotel room in Toronto and convinced John to do an interview about peace. 38 years later, Jerry turned that interview into this animated film."

The Next Step In Animation
Everyday I realize that technology advances more and more. Today this was shown to me by this video.
It features Emily, an actress who got her face processed by some sort of face-analysis machine. The result is an 'animation' which looks like it's real. Very, very real.

yes, this is a still from the video, thus not a real person
If you're interested in all the tech savvy I recommend you check out the in-depth article at the Times Online.
I'm still flattered with this, what will pixar movies be like in say ten years? Or what games will originate from this new advance in technology? Mind-boggling.

Semiconductor Films: Magnetic Fields Made Visible!
Magnetic Movie from Semiconductor on Vimeo.
This is pretty extraordinary.
"Magnetic fields are all around us, but they're usually invisible. Not when British filmmakers Ruth Jarman and Joe Gerhardt get a hold of them. Their film group, called Semiconductor, created "Magnetic Movie," where they've turned audio recordings of magnetic fields into arty animations. This innovative work won them honors as Best Film at Cutting Edge at the British Animation Awards 2008."
-Charlie White @ dvice.
Saw this over at dvice.com, whose content is excellent. You really should visit.
And here's Ruth and Joe's site: semiconductor films

Le Lapin Jaloux - (The Jealous Rabbit)
"Love is never easy, even in a world of colorful bunnies."
"This is my first short animation created in the spring and summer of 2003. Written, directed and animated by Sarah Oleksyk. The amazing music was provided by Sam Liberto. Produced by Petr Sorfa."
Special thanks to SuperForester Christine bringing Sarah's work to our attention.
