How To Become A Youtube Star!

Good Morning All!

A thought occurred to me the other day after posting The Fountain movie by linking the clips together.

The thought is, why not utilize the quicklist linking feature on youtube, in conjunction with the direct upload feature, to create and star in your own youtube variety show?

It's pretty simple:

You upload a clip of yourself coming out and saying: "Hello, I'm so and so, welcome to my youtube show." Whatever you want to say. Then you say: "There sure are a ton of amazing videos on youtube right now, like this one from so and so..."

Then you link the "introduction clip" that you uploaded to the "first video clip" which you found. Then another clip of you saying: "Wow, that's great... Here's another video from so and so."

You alternate back and forth, linking between your "host" clips and then endless youtube "content" clips. When you've got a show together, you save all your linked clips and post them as one file on your youtube homepage, or wherever you want!

That's it! Have good taste and create an entertaining show, and whammy, you're a star!

This is no different really than the old radio DJ system. You'd have one guy in a booth surrounded by records and he or she would lead you on a curated musical journey through whatever songs they were into at the time.

It just seems so easy. And because youtube has so much content, you'll never really run out of ideas for "shows."

Why isn't someone doing a "Weekly Viral Clip Roundup" on youtube as an independent channel? Is someone doing that? Are we hopelessly out of the loop?

Nope. Just checked.

Do it.

Love to all,

-jackson
