Brothers and Sisters,
The freedom to protest and let your opinion be known are wonderful rights, and we must protect and cherish them.
Remember, you cannot fight hatred or human rights abuses with violence. Hatred and violence breed further hatred and violence, nothing more.
Peace, statesmanship, diplomacy, humility, and understanding are what solves problems.
Instead of clashing, let's engage.
Instead of protesting, let's promote.
Instead of screaming, let's discuss.
There is no US versus THEM anymore. Todays protesters and riot cops are tomorrows neighbors and friends.
Let's all take a deep breath and treat one another with respect and compassion.
Remember to look out for one another, keep each other safe.
